Žiaľ, nemôžem s Vami súhlasiť. Obdĺžnik je druh mnohouholníka so štyrmi stranami, pričom každé dve susedné strany obdĺžnika zvierajú navzájom pravý uhol. Dve a dve protiľahlé strany obdĺžnika sú rovnobežné a rovnako dlhé. Všetky tieto požiadavky spĺňa aj štvorec, teda z toho vyplýva, že štvorec je špeciálny prípad obdĺžnika.
